If you are designing a strategy for data quality, remember:
- Try to map your data landscape
- Choose and use your dimensions of data quality
- Analyse the different phases of your data production process cycle
- Anticipate what can wrong and plan for it
This needs adequate consideration in the Programme/Project design and built into regular reviews of your data system.
Having a data quality mind-set will help. Make sure that all those involved in the collection, processing, analysis, and dissemination of data think about data quality in the right way and have a shared understanding of priorities and strategy. Your team will benefit from a culture of constructive critical assessment of data quality.
